A new 2,700 sq ft Jollyes Pets store is opening inside the Asda Drakehouse supermarket in Sheffield on 25 September. The opening will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Rotherham-born entertainer Paul Chuckle, known as one half of the comedy duo the Chuckle Brothers, who has strong South Yorkshire ties.
To celebrate the launch, the first customers can receive one of 100 limited-edition goody bags and try their luck on Jollyes’ 'Wheel of Fur-tune' to win prizes. The store’s mascot, Jolly, will also be present to meet visitors. The festivities continue on 26 September with an in-store entertainer providing family fun.
This is Jollyes Pets’ first store located within an Asda superstore, offering Sheffield shoppers the convenience of picking up pet essentials and specialist products alongside their regular grocery shopping. The store stocks popular brands such as Pedigree, Whiskas, Harringtons, Felix, Royal Canin, and Hill’s, as well as Jollyes’ own-label ranges including Lifestage and Optimum Pet Health, which come with a 100% money-back guarantee.
Customers will also find a wide selection of raw food, natural treats, fresh food options including Freshpet’s ambient fresh food range, toys, treats, and accessories all under one roof.
The opening is expected to create seven new jobs in the local community. The store will be managed by Alan Burgar, who previously opened Jollyes’ Chesterfield store and is a pet owner himself.

The new store brings Jollyes Pets’ total number of UK locations to 128, with 11 new stores opened since January and further openings planned in Mansfield on 16 October and Dunfermline on 5 November.
